The idea behind Transformers: Darklands (Literature)

Updated: Jan 22

face it, coming up with something that's sort of original is very difficult, especially when it's an already popular IP (Transformers). The original story in fact was much different and was under another name. It was called "The New Dawn", and the story followed two step siblings teaming up with the Autobots who a part of a secret military division in Colorado. Although it seemed awesome, I slowly realized that the plot was almost verbatim a Bayverse reject so it quickly got scrapped. Darklands on the other hand takes heavy inspiration from the 1986 film and the upcoming Transformers: ONE movie (2024); and as a result, this story includes no human interactions.

Knowing what they were going to do somehow easier to get down:

  1. The Story is in different perspectives (Part 1: Optimus Prime, Part 2: Starscream, Part 3: Moonracer, and part 4: B-127 or Bumblebee)

  2. The Autobots were caught in an intergalactic dog fight with Decepticons.

  3. They abort the mission and travel through a portal generated by their ship (The rivals follow along)

  4. They end up crash landing in the Atacama Desert in Chilie and kills all but 11 autobots (Including Optimus Prime)

  5. Although this half will deal with the bots planning/preparing for the future war, we'll see several characters interact with

I am still in the Rough draft phase of the story (AKA procrastinating for 2 hours) but I hope to start sometime later this year or next year. Down below are some pictures of the mentioned Atacama Desert and a link to the soundtrack.
